Our applications

At LAST, our goal is to retrofit barges transporting grain on the Danube River with our innovative ammonia retrofitting system. The aim of this project is to significantly reduce the amount of diesel consumption by half, while replacing it with ammonia as a sustainable fuel source.

The retrofitting system will be designed to enable the barge engines to use ammonia as a primary fuel, which will reduce the overall carbon emissions and improve the sustainability of the transport of goods. Additionally, the use of ammonia will not only reduce greenhouse gas emissions but also improve air quality and reduce harmful particulate matter.

This retrofitting project will have significant positive impacts on the environment and the shipping industry as a whole. It will help to reduce the carbon footprint of the maritime sector, promote the use of sustainable energy sources, and contribute to the global efforts to combat climate change.
